1. Overview

MiraiCV ("we", "our", "us") is an AI-powered resume builder. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our service, how we use it, and how we protect it. By creating an account or using MiraiCV, you agree to the practices described in this document.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information: your email address and display name, provided when you sign up.
  • Resume content: all text you enter into the resume editor, including work experience, skills, education, and personal details.
  • AI usage data: a log of which AI features you used (e.g. ATS analysis, text improvement) and when, stored in our database. We do not log the full text of every AI prompt.
  • ATS analysis results: scores, keyword gaps, and suggestions generated during ATS or job match analysis are stored so you can view them again without re-running the analysis.
  • Credit balance: your current AI credit count and transaction history related to credit usage.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide the resume editing, template rendering, and PDF export features.
  • To run AI analysis on your resume content when you request it.
  • To cache ATS and job match results so repeated requests do not consume additional credits.
  • To manage your AI credit balance and enforce usage limits.
  • To authenticate you securely using your email and password.
  • To send transactional emails such as password reset links.

We do not sell resume data, use resume data for advertising, or train AI models on your resume content without your explicit consent.

4. AI Processing

MiraiCV uses external AI services to power features such as text improvement, ATS scoring suggestions, and job match analysis. When you trigger an AI action, the relevant portion of your resume content is sent to the AI provider's API to generate a response.

This means your resume text may be processed on servers operated by our AI provider. We send only the content necessary for the requested operation and do not include account identifiers in these requests.

Please review the AI provider's own privacy policy for information on how they handle API inputs. We select providers that do not use API customer data to train their models by default.

5. Data Storage

Your account, resume content, and analysis results are stored in a Supabase-managed PostgreSQL database hosted on secure cloud infrastructure. All data is protected by Row Level Security (RLS), which means each user can only access their own records.

Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Session tokens are stored in your browser and expire automatically.

6. Data Retention

We retain account and resume data while your account remains active so the Service can function as expected.

If you request account deletion, we delete your account data from active systems. Limited records may be retained for legal, compliance, fraud-prevention, or billing reconciliation purposes where required.

7. Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect your data. However, no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

8. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data or resume content with:

  • Advertisers or marketing companies
  • Recruiters or employers
  • Any third party for commercial purposes

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the security of our service and users.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your data: all resume content is visible and editable directly in your dashboard.
  • Delete resumes: you can permanently delete any resume from your dashboard at any time.
  • Delete your account: contact us at support@miraicv.in to request full account and data deletion.
  • Data portability: your resume content can be exported as a PDF at any time.

10. Cookies

MiraiCV uses session cookies to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. Browser local storage may be used to preserve editor state between sessions.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the service evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of MiraiCV after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
