Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using MiraiCV ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including free accounts and credit-based plan users.

User Eligibility: You must be at least 13 years old to create or use a MiraiCV account.

2. What MiraiCV Provides

MiraiCV is an AI-powered resume builder that offers:

  • A structured resume editor with professionally designed templates
  • PDF export of completed resumes
  • AI-powered text improvement for individual resume sections
  • ATS compatibility scoring and improvement suggestions
  • Job match analysis against a specific job description
  • AI credit management to control and track AI feature usage

Resume creation, editing, template switching, and PDF export are free. AI features require credits, which are purchased separately.

3. Account Responsibility

You are responsible for:

  • Keeping your login credentials secure and not sharing your account
  • All activity that occurs under your account
  • Providing accurate information when creating your account
  • Notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account

MiraiCV may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the AI credit system, or attempt to exploit the Service.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to manipulate, exploit, or abuse the AI credit system, including attempting to circumvent credit deduction or access AI features without valid credits
  • Use automated scripts or bots to send bulk requests to our AI endpoints
  • Upload or process content that is illegal, harmful, or violates the rights of others
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service

Violations may result in immediate account suspension without refund of remaining credits.

5. AI Credits

AI credits are the unit of exchange for AI features on MiraiCV. One credit is deducted each time an AI operation successfully executes. Operations include:

  • ATS score analysis
  • Job match analysis
  • Quick resume review
  • Resume optimization
  • Text improvement, rewriting, expanding, shortening, or grammar fixing

Credits are not deducted when a cached result is returned. If you run analysis on unchanged resume content, the stored result is returned at no cost. Credits can only decrease through AI usage or be granted through purchase or promotional bonuses. Credits cannot be transferred between accounts.

AI credits are digital purchases and are generally non-refundable, except in verified cases of billing errors, duplicate charges, or technical failures caused by our service. Please review our Refund Policy for full details.

6. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

AI suggestions provided by MiraiCV, including rewritten bullet points, ATS improvement tips, keyword recommendations, and job match insights, are generated by an external AI model and are intended as guidance only.

You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and approving all content before submitting your resume to employers. MiraiCV does not guarantee that AI suggestions are accurate, complete, or suitable for your specific situation.

AI models can make errors. Never submit resume content you have not personally reviewed.

7. Ownership of Content

All resume content you create on MiraiCV belongs to you. We do not claim ownership over your resume data. By using the Service you grant MiraiCV a limited license to store and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

8. Service Availability

MiraiCV is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance, third-party service outages (including AI provider downtime or Supabase infrastructure), or unexpected failures may cause temporary unavailability. We will make reasonable efforts to restore service promptly.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, MiraiCV and its operators shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service
  • Loss of resume data due to technical failure (we recommend downloading your PDF regularly)
  • Hiring decisions, employer outcomes, interview offers, or results of job applications
  • Errors or inaccuracies in AI-generated suggestions or ATS scores

Our total liability in any circumstance is limited to the amount you paid for credits in the 30 days preceding the claim.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
